Prelim Freestyle + Brainwashing = ???

Hello all.

I'm saving this blog from decomposition.

But it wasn't my fault.

Computer crashed and blogger didn't load.

Anyhoo, i've come to a conclusion:

brainwashing actually WORKS! haha.

I've been listening to my prelim freestyle music alot to like memorise it?

and now it's stuck in my head.

and IT WON'T GET OUT! :/

(which proves that the effects of such brainwashing tends to be long lasting... lol!)

Oh and another thing.

I've been thinking SOO much about the freestyle?

and now everytime i listen to whatever piece of music,

i start CHOREOGRAPHING a test in my head.

(even ROCK songs.)

TIKKI DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

I've decided to start putting title to my post! so here's the first one. lol

i think sue really wasn't kidding about me competing tikki.

i got him on BOTH thursday and friday.

and i think it's gonna go on till 9th sep tooo!

which is... *counts fingers...*

TEN LESSONS??!

that's more than ONE SET!

crudcrudcrudcrudcrud!

on thursday, we worked on forwardness and impulsion.

tikki's TINY and SLOW and LAZY.

and my canter transitions were crap

and i couldn't even like keep him in the frame.

i just get him in it then he tosses his head and looses it

and i have to start all over again. sighh

jun dawn and ying did pretty good though.

jun finally managed to get stanley to canter :D

he was like doing extended canter the 1st time. so kwl!

dawn was perfect as usual on sunshine

but she claims it was crap and it so was not!

ying and sonny did pretty well too.

and sonny didn't bolt. for once.

friday was worse. i shared an arena with prema and we are on.

tikki didn't keep his frame.

or his canter. or even a forward trot.

sue kept yelling "KATH! GET HIM MORE FORWARD!"

in the end she made me go out of the arena and canter him.

she was like "okay i want you to GALLOP him"

when she saw my jaw drop she was like "go for it kath!"

lol so went out and got the canter.

so while cantering sue told me to give him a long rein

and then while turning the corner i realised it was kinda tight

so i was frantically trying to retake my reins and then guess what?

he CRASHED INTO the arena. (where viv and sonny and caro and citi were)

and he flipped a fence.

thank god viv and caro were both working at A

and not C where we... fence-crashed/flipped? lol.

after that horrendously horrid stunt

(which was i guess somewhat my fault?)

i think tikki kinda sensed i was really pissed and all. hah!

so he went really forward after that and kept his canter :D

i did some interesting things too.

tried a canter-walk transition with him and leg yield.

the transition was worked! yay!

but the leg yielding only worked in walk.

i have tons of things to work on with him untill the comp so i guess ten lesson riding him wouldn't be so bad if it all works out... so cross your fingers for me :)

racial harmony day today.

i wore a SARI to school. lol

but i wore a tee inside instead of that half top

and i wore that bindhi thingy

sunneh's still marvelling at how i got it to stick for so long :P

minsu said i looked INDIAN. muaha

so now, although i'm chinese,

i can look malay, indian AND eurasian

cross racial morphing. haha!

riding was good!

it just seemed so strange to be so short.

tikki felt so TINY!

and my stirrups were at the last hole and still wayyy short.

i felt like i was some huge giant on him.

the little monster came with a warning;

sue told me he's been naughty all week

and on wednesday, he managed to buck AMANDA LOWE off.

and she's PRO.

sue brought us to the sand track

we trotted alot and worked on keeping our horses in frames

he gave the bend really nicely.

the problem was keeping him in it.

he did try to misbehave a bit.

but zul's training kicked in and then:

voila! he was perfect.

kept his frame without side reins or grass reins :D

then CANTER:

it was like pony racing!

sue let me and viv canter the whole ring.

TWICE

his strides felt so small!

i used alot of seat and tried flexing again.

he gave it to me :D

that wonderful little miscreant

i have to say, that's one of my better lessons.

exhausting, but FUN.

hopefully, next week i'll get him again and we'll go to paradise and do some arena work.

it was really quite a let-down of a lesson. :/

i couldn't get her canter AT ALL

and sandra says i have to oil my steering wheel.

even the flexing didn;t seem there this week.

today was just... THE BEST! bea is FANTASTIC! and she's so responsive? what sue would call a "fancy horse" haha!

sandra took us today. our class had all the difficult horses! dawn got magic, jun got stanley and that other girl... (erm yin i think?) got hank. we did walk and trot only but it was a wonderful lesson! we just did circles and serpentines. sandra set blocks for us so we didn't have to concentrate on where we were going and just FLEX!

bea was really forward and all and sandra insisted on us keeping out distances and very SLOW. quite a change from sue really. it took a while for me to get use to slowing her and using my hands alot more than i would on most horses and having to keep retake the reins cuz she keeps pulling them longer! but after i got it she was a DREAM!

sandra kinda hinted we MIGHT get the same horses next week. i DO HOPE SO!! :D

[edit] oh yes! DAWNIE'S SISTER, ERIN, CAME TO VISIT THE HORSES! she is so absolutely AH-DORABLE! she went round feeding all the horses and wasn't afraid of them at all! (unlike a certain brother of mine...) oh AND, the little darling is going to BUY sunshine. dawn is going to pay and erin is going to ride. haha! so cute! [/edit]

okay i spent HUGELY long typing out this longg post abt riding on thurs and fri? and i lost it. bleahh. so a vague summary...

remember how i said i didn't like we are on at all? i take that back. ALL of it. he's WONDERFUL! and sue was very impressed with us :D yay!

thursday's wasn't as good though. i switched with dawn and got chuckie. we did ALOT of flexion. i HARDLY got him round and i have a blister-like sore on my ring finger, where the reins were :/. he also ran off in canter. FOUR times. and chuckie, who NEVER EVER EVER gallops, did it. even though i was still posting. sue though i would fall. all i can say is: THANK GOD FOR ZUL!

i have spent the last half an hour clicking around on the e-learning portal and have just come to the conclusion that today and tomorrow are NOT going to be an extended holiday like i thought...

and to make matters worse, all the teachers are able to track when exactly we access the lessons and what we get on the quizes etc. so procrastination is quite literally BANNED. this is going to be tough... considering what a wonderous procrastinater i've evolved into...

and i'm think i'll procrastinate somemore and do this quiz 'leanor just sent me here:

on the bright side though, riding later :D and tommorow too. i just wonder who i'm getting.

sue told us that chuckie had a shock when he saw it (poor boy) and songkla was even worse. suchi ahmad ,who happens to be a VERY good rider, was riding him and couldn't even get him to get past the wall. :P in fact most of the horses haven't got used to it yet...

[edit] we also got really different reactions from the homo sapien inhabitants of the club. the most hilarious? some of the syces wanted to know why the riders on the pic didn't have noses or eyes or ears. one of them was like "ai-ya! like that how to ride properly?" lol. [/edit]

we are on was quite ok with it though. he walked past it without even flicking an ear at it. i'm quite thankful for that cuz i completely forgot about the horses' reaction to the wall and was adjusting my stirrup as we walked past. thank god he didn't bolt!

lesson was superb! we did open order the ENTIRE lesson. jun had little red and dawn got magic. exactly like the 2nd day of pony camp... wonder if that was what sue was thinking?

when we were just beggining, sue noticed we were all riding chestnuts AND we were all lined up in order of height (of the horses). and she laughed and said: "LOOK! daddy horse (points at magic) mommy horse (points at we are on) and BABY HORSE! (points at little red)" it was SOO funny! esp the way she said it. then halfway sandra came up to school bea and sue told her. then she realised bea was chestnut as well and so bea became mommy horse and we are on became brother horse.

"SO AH-DORABLE!!" ;)

[edit] i just realised when bea 1st came sue said she was chuckie's wife! *scandalous look of horror* [/edit]

we mainly concentrated on flexing. we are on was terribly stiff at 1st and EXTREMELY heavy on the forehand. sue told me to flex and half halt upwards instead of towards me. it worked, but only in circles :/ must work on that.

canter was TERRIFIC though. his canter is like... slow and it seems as though he's going to canter on and on and on really slowly and nicely. so fun! he got heavy again in it but he was on the bit so it kinda made up for that.

i can't wait for next week's lesson :D

[one-more-edit-at-dawn's-request] way way after lesson and that little shopping spree at the tack shop, me and dawn were happily strolling around the stables crunching ice in blue cups we "stole" from the cafe :P (we returned them!) we saw sue and sandra washing down we are on. turned out that the poor boy was a tad colicky! but sue said it had nothing to do with me (whew!) and he sometimes gets like that so it's no worry. and he was fine after being hosed down by sandra :)

oh and dawn showed cowwgirl penny her new socks! cow print ones from the frankfurt international airport. penny was munching away at her hay when we got there and dawn poked her foot under the bar and went "PEN-NEH-LOP-EEE! look at my socks!" i burst out laughing so hard that tikki (next door to penny) looked over. penny couldn't care the least and kept chewing her hay and not paying us the slightest attention. haha! maybe we can try again this thurs dawnie? pony camp was FUN FUN FUN :D

i had sonny for one jumping lesson (tuesday) and one flat lesson (friday).

i fell off him on tuesday cuz he was fresh and bolted. sue made me canter him TWO WHOLE ROUNDS of paradise. the big big big arena :D. so fun. he's really fun to jump. but hard to keep round. REAL hard...

i got we are on on wed. flat lesson. we just didn't click i guess? so it wasn't a good lesson for me. we had a bareback hack after though. jamsie was nice and FATT. no pokey spine no more :D

thursday was undoubtedly THE best camp day. i got PIAANO :D pia-pia-pia-noh. he was GREAT! sue set up a triple bounce and made us jump it using ONE hand and also made us answer questions while jumping. piano was so good, he's now my SECOND fav at btsc. after chuckie of course.

oh yeah. i learnt to lunge! i failed miserably on my first attempt, as sue can attest. lol. but my 2nd attempt was wayyy better. i cantered penny. which was exactly what dawn and me were kind of "plotting" to do? haha :P

phuket was okay. same old same old really. didn't spend a SINGLE cent. or baht actually. which is really QUITE a miracle. i got REALLY dark though. we spent nearly a whole day in the pool on monday :P. however, in spite of the time we spent wallowing in the the HOT HOT sun, i'm pleased to tell you that moi has not ONE sunburn :D and is THE ONLY ONE who didn't suffer of any burns.

we also got really bored and like all us kids wrote a song. a lame one. jerms is gay and kristine wears a bikini and markie meets a hamster cross monster and nicole/ malia eats carviar and gets "transported to narnia". there were like a MILLION stanzas and each line rhymes with the three other lines in the same stanza. markie has kindly saved me the trouble of typing out my verse. thank you markie warkie :P

went with laine and rachie to watch X-men 3 yesterday.

the movie had NO storyline whatsoever. but i suppose it was kinda interesting. the characters and special effects...

yesterday's lesson was so-so.

got KINABALU, and i can't decide if i should call her kina or balu. her name is JUST too long! and she's TINY! smaller than cupcake even.

warming up was okay. but her head was like UP UP UP. spent alot of time flexing her in walk then the minute i got her to trot. her head goes up again :/ gave up and went trotting all sorts of figures then zul came and started spraying the arena sand with water from hoses at the fence which i didn't know even existed lol.

halfway through i didn't watch where i was going and got in "range" and he SPRAYED ME AND KINA/BALU!! on PURPOSE! Predictably kina/balu shied and bolted for a few steps. i lost a stirrup too! i have to work on my feet!

after, we started to canter. kina/balu is stiff on the right rein and tends to like twist her head and "flex" herself to the left. this results in her going off the track and cutting corners on the right rein. she's okay on the left. zul told me to counter flex her. MAN it's no joke. my arms and legs ACHE. even so, i could only sucessfully do it in walk and trot. :/

halfway through, these rda guys started to move some plants and apparently johnny spooked ( i was too busy trying to flex kina/balu) and then kina/balu jumped forward and bolted towards the other side of the arena. jun and mimo beside us. We stopped after a few minutes, thank god.

then, johnny REARED! really HIGH! poor caro looked so shocked but she managed to sit. who knew the old boy actually had it in him? when he landed, all the horses took off AGAIN. When we all calmed them down and halted, which took forever, we all immediately dismounted. zul seemed to find it very amusing that we all jumped off right after. lol

oh and, i was so thirsty i broke caro's water drinking record. by one cup :D

WE WON!!! XD

and i'm still in shock. hahaha. and the entire comp was worth waking up at 6 30 for. even with the rain and delays and change of timing, TWICE, and doing gate A in the rain and lol EVERYTHING. :D

Lilttle red was FANTASTIC. though he hates people with too much rein contact and kept tossing his head. i think he's too used to begginers... his trot canter transitions were WONDERFUL and he was easy to get going. but my downward transitions weren't my best :S and after watching d video my canter seat SUCKS.

jun came to watch us and did gate A with me, caro and dawn (we alternated). and halfway through tanja came as well. thank you ever SOOO much for taping my test dear!

prize giving was like RIGHT after we finished the test. so i was holding little red and trying to juggle the cert (which was printed on nice pink GLITTERY paper) my helmet, whip, the blue sash, which said BTSC 1st. And little red kept trying to pull away and eat grass or make friends with james and sun. sandra competed in d novice and got 3rd, i think, on bilco. and chun on chuckie and fei on weareon also placed in the 1.3.

after that, we all went for lunch at green fairways. fei dawn tanja jun daph and me all crammed in the back seat and nat and chun shared the front seat with nat's dad driving. and dawn whipped out her camera and started to film us all 10 of us squashed into this tiny five seater. i'm actually kind of surprised the car even MOVED! thank god the golf course was like next door! haha. needless to say we attracted alot of weird looks from people we drove past.

when we got there, we all piled out and these golfer people were like staring in shock at us and were like WOW! how did you girls all manage to squeeze into that car? and this other guy tried to count us. i suppose we did look really out of place in our jodphurs and long boots compared to all d people eating in shorts. :P

exams have started. oh JOY! E math and bio 2moz and i don't even know why i'm here?!

i nearly entered prelim jumping in the comp but :/. would SOOO love to jump a course again... so i'm only gna do the group dressage. sue said i can't pick chuckie :( so me n dawn did like this tour of the stables last friday. honestly i've been riding chuckie for FAR too long. nways since all the nice horses are all snapped up i put hank and songkla on my entry form. and i can't decide whom i prefer...

and TWO pieces of GREAT news:

a) my siblings are starting RIDING!!! during the hols :D. gna give sandra the forms 2moz after riding. i'm now THIS close to a membership. wheeeeeeee!

b) going to NEWYORK!! on vesak. skipping school for ONE AWESOME WEEK!! with my parents and kristine. woohoo! and when we get back there's like only one week of school left b4 the hols :D

life would be PERFECT after next wenesday. i just wish it was next wenesday. NOW. :/

the btsc comp is on the 6th and 7th of may. how "CONVENIENT" ! right smack down in the middle of my exams.

so sue wants us to compete in that stage 5 thing. so i begged and somehow got into this deal with my dad which explicitly states that i have to get MINIMUM B for add math mid year!

on the bright side, i do get to compete. but what if i don't get that B u ask? *dramatic pause* lemme spell it out in an equation, since it's math, a simple but horribly DEVASTATING equation:

no B for add math = ~~RIDING~~

why doesn't he just kill me now?!

i'm saving this blog before it decomposes.

yesterday was sooooo fun! we cantered and cantered and cantered. and the best part:

i got CABRIOLE!!

we did like this self ride/open order thingy and we had the WHOLE arena to ourselves. (for once.) so jun had kinabalu, caro got johnny and liz got cupcake. (jun and my projects "johnny" and "cupcake" respectively have been temporarily suspended) so we warmed up. took ALOT of effort to get cabby into a nice frame and with impulsion. oh and i practised my lengthened strides. felt absolutely superb :D

after, zul got us to canter one by one. took a while to get the transitions but after was just pure joy. cantered like 3 rounds of the arena at one go! and i realised my upward transistion on cabby suck. but ironically, my downward transitions, usually quite bad, were much much better. i got square halts nearly everytime :D then again that was just cabby.

thinking about it makes me highh... haha. i doodled cabriole all over my notebook during math :P. it's just so nice and swirly! oh and i used it to subsitute the "X" in a tic-tac-toe game with minsu. haha i think she got kinda confused cuz i alternated btw the "X"s and cursive "cabrioles". sorry dear!

so riding yesterday was just abosolute crap? colours (yes, i rode her :S) was totally all over the place. AND she tried to attack EVERYONE in the arena. (it didn't help that it was storming, and everyone was in the indoor arena) we hardly cantered at that :(

we have sports day tommorow. which means no school! haha. so i can sleep in and wake up late. FINALLY!! a day i can actually wake up WHEN i want to. though it's highly unlikely that i will get to sleep in considering the decibels required to get my younger siblings ready for school AND seeing how my internal alarm clock works. sighh...

two straight off-riding days on tuesday and friday, and on my FAVOURITES no less; cup and chuckie!! i'm hoping for a really really nice lesson 2moz? though it's probably not happening. sue's probably gna make us do flexing again. which no matter WHAT i do i CANNOT get. even with SIDE REINS! and it doesn't help that chuckie's neck is soo long! not that it's his fault. sighh my poor boy. i ride him SOOO badly. he deserves far, FAR more! :( i'm such a horrid rider for him!

the new horses are coming in tonight! but they're going to kranji for quarantine for 2 weeks 1st. then coming to btsc after. i can't wait to ride 'em :) oh and we're giving daph her presents tomorrow! after riding. i can't say what they are though. not here. ;) hope u like 'em though daphie!

i just noticed there's no dressage or showjumping or ANYTHING equestrian-related in the commonwealth games. i wonder why...

school 2day was okay i suppose... deathly boring... but i didn't like fall asleep or anything... and it's only the 1st day of term 2 and i'm lost in math already!

riding 2morrow! zul promised that if we get horses than can jump, we will!! YAY!! must remember to keep my heels DOWNNNN. and i hope u-noe-who isn't there again... though she did seem kinda friendly last week after riding. but STILL, i don't want her to watch it.

jumps like.... AMAZINGLY!!!!

lol yep we had a jumping lesson :) and i was on an EXTREMLY fresh cupcake. when we warmed up she was like bucking and REARING !! managed to stay on though. and 5 mins into the lesson she reared and bolted off for a few strides and i fell onto her neck. i though i was gna fall but i managed to get back into the saddle.

after that zul rode her a bit to "work off her steam" and they did trotting poles. she does them like... so show-off-ey! her tail up and her legs lift like REALLY high! after that, i got on again and we started jumping. it was quite a small fence cuz elizsabeth had never jumped before ( and sam was giving her hell man! ) jun did nicely on wolfman though, n caro didn;t do them cuz johnny doesn't jump.

so in the end elisabeth didn;t jump either. so it was only me n jun. cup like literally galloped towards it, cutting ALL the corners. and then she took this HUGGE jump. like she was jumping 70cm. (her own height btw) and i was sooo shocked that i got left behind. (jumping term which means that rider gets pulled over the jump, not fall off the horse) then zul set up a small vertical. and cupcake started doing it like 80cm. so FUNNN!!! lol we did it a few times. really nicely :) plus i'm aching. which means is was a REALLY good lesson YAY!

sighh she is sooo nice... maybe i could buy her like dawn is doing with sun?? (chuckie still beats her though :D)

fun? hot? blazing? smelly?

hahah. but overall it was quite meaningful i suppose, nways now i think i have sunburns. on my leg n right shoulder blade ... at least i think they're sunburns... manda sez i'm too dark n tan to get sunburns lol. oh and on that subject, i'm like... darker :( i'm gna start looking indian soon! and i got SLEEVE MARKS!!! just when i though i got rid of those accumulated at rl!!

after i got back, arranged with jun to go 2 btsc... like 2 hrs b4 haha. so went down n walked ard 4 a bit then found sue n sandra fitting chuckie wth saddles. so apparently sunshine is getting chuck's old one? or smt like that. i dno how it turned out. then sandra got us to put gold ridge's saddle together. i never realised a saddle was soo light! so it's basically heavy cuz of d iron stirrups. nhow i wrote his name a new girth in attached it ( i did it nicely cuz i noe chun would probably kill me if i wasn't done nice ;) )then me n jun out new rubber bases on a pair of stirrups. it's soo hard!! plus i nearly stabbed myself with d hoofpick i was using haha.

after, we help with sandra's walk-trot class. they had penny, patch, sonny, bilco, songkla and oj. d riders were this family. d mom rode bilco, d dad rode sos, d oldest girl rode oj, d younger girl rode sonny, n their brother rode patch. this REALLY cute girl, petra, was on penny. she was having a trial lesson 4 new members ( ENVY!!) so jun lead patch, sandra did bilco, n i got penny. she couldn't trot very well so i taught her to rise to d mon-day tues-day method which sue taught us like EONS ago. and it worked!! lol so poor tired ole me ( all pooped from camp) had to run beside her in d sandstorm within d arena and pant out "mon-day, tues-day" etc in time with penny's strides, keep penny slow, and run at d same time lol. i'm so good at multitasking :D haha

so anyway, d family was having a back to back lesson; riding 4 1 1/2 hrs STRAIGHT! so halfway i had to bring petra and penny down and this lady came up on glory. then had a quick drink then went up again and took over 4 jun while she had a drink then we both helped out untill d lesson ended.

after, jun washed patch then we went uo to c sue's jumping lesson with tirtha, tosca and tanis. lol it was kinda funny cuz all their names start with Ts and sue got them a bit mixed up.sandra was there helping with d jumps so me n jun helped her a bit then sat down on one of d jumps and talked abt d new horses!! so apparently, we got 3 horses coming down from denmark. one is a mare who used to b a police mount. one is a lil pony called PIANO!!! so cute yes?? nways he's abt bobby-sonny size. then there this GIANT, BIGG bay abt ammaretto size. i think they're gna put him in chuck's old stall. there's like no where else big enough. so nways they're still in denmark waiting 4 d vet check. then after, they're gna b flown down n quarantined at kranji. i DO hope they'll get use to d weather here... :S i'm kinda worried...

i am offically SICK of braiding. i like must've braided at least 3 manes... and my left hand has a small welt cuz one of d rubber band snapped and broke :S. but managed to braid sonny, chuckie and bobby. and helped one of d lil kiddies with biscuit. i did bobby by myself lol. and sonny with viv, n chuckie with dawn and steph.

the comp was FUNNNNNNNN!!! lol even if i didn't place. sonny bolted in d 1.2. :S but then again i was his 1st rider and i haven't ridden him in like a year++ ?? and it was like BOILING hot and i rode at 12 noon. EXACTLY. ON THE DOT. which is kinda bad luck?? lol i was kinda upset after that so i dismounted and went to change n viv helped me to wash n graze him and all that. THANKS VIV!!!

so after me n dawn checked our scores n all, i failed. just as expected. dawn got 6th!! overall. n 3rd 4 junior catergory!! n steph got 7th overall too!!n ma tied 4 3rd place i think. lol irony is that judith, who won, went RIGHT before me. lol and d judge was amanda garren who judged me at rl. her comments in d test sheet really really were HILARIOUS. like at d last part. in her familliar SWIRLY ILLEGIBLE handwriting, she wrote : "good effort on an uncooperative horse". and like during d test i was seriously FREAKING out cuz i nearly fell off once n he didn't go on d track HALF d time n cut like ALL his corners :S. i was like sooo upset after it!! but she liked my position n all though (: did well for d bottom general stuff except for submission of horse n all of that part :S

1.1 was just FANTASTIC!!! chuckie was just... like THE BEST EVER!! i haven't seen d test sheet though. but i scored 53 smt. which is good cuz that way i can still do 1.1 restricted-s :D on chuckie too :D:D:D

had no school today! lol i think i needed that sleep-in. i think i only woke up at 9 30?? which is late 4 me cuz i have to wake up by 8 7 days a week :S

nways went out in d morning. then when i came bk like at abt 3 i decided to clean out my messy closet. so after filling like HALF a trash bag with misc stuff, guess what? i found my old pointe shoes n leotard!! lol from back in d sylvia mccully dance school days. sighhh do i miss it... and d pointe shoes STILL fit me!! though it feels weird to b wearing them again.

i dno y but now i wish i didn't quit afterall... had to cuz gym clashed with it and there were no other grade 6 classes that i could make it 4. lol i remem d last performance we did: snowflakes :D that was fun... haha and TOTAL chaos cuz one of d little mices from d priamry classes kinda got sick backstage... :S stank... haha and d victoria concert hall ppl were none too pleased.

back to d real world. there's riding 2moz :D lol i hope i dun fall again... i'm hoping for a nice safe ride... like BOBBY!! mann do i MISS riding him...

two riding lessons of the week:

tues:

zul was on leave so tommy took us. i was suppose to ride colours AGAIN :( and jun got cocoa, caro got smint and liz got sam. (all the horrid all-other-horse-except-myself haters ) anyhow, we went in and warmed up by ourselves a bit. ( that;s what i like abt polo club. u can go up realy really early and warm up and they just go: oh up so early? and it's like half a self ride lol) then tommy came. nways jun couldn't canter cuz she was sick and i couldn't control colours' canter. so i was gna ask if me n jun could switched just for the canter part. anyhow, in the end me and caro ended up switching, so i got on smint and she got on colours.

so we warmed up with tommy and i had to go lead :S. smint was really nice to ride. there were occasional bucks but they were like d fun to ride to bucks like... patch's lol. so anyhow after a while of getting use to him i worked out that he doesn't like that much leg and an occasional tap with the whip make's him keep his tempo a bit better. and i did try to flex him but he just would step in cuz i was opening the inside rein and nt using enough leg. and then when i DID use enough leg he just bucked. so i stopped and he was well enough after that.

after that we cantered. smint was REALLY good except that he moves his head alot so that he pulls on the rein. other than that it was REALLY nice. and we cantered 2 rounds of the arena!! <3<3 then we did formation riding. i suppose it was ok. i kept messing up alot towards the end :S (sorry jun!!) i just can't understand y tommy is SUCH a big fan of it. EVERY lesson with him always has it.

nways, belinda ( the girl from bangkok who came after us) rides after us now. she's got a btsc membership accd to jun and can STILL ride at polo club. plus her class got all d NICE horses. how unfair is that?!

Fri:

I FELL!!! of SONGKLA!!! lol. now my back hurts tons...

so viv got oj, dawn got we r one ( FOURTH TIME!!! humph :P haha ) n caro got bobby.
nways it was drizzling during our lesson, and it rained b4 that so the ground was all eeeky and well, horrid. then sue came up and she brought these small stones which she collected on her way up. and smiling REALLLY evily, she told us that we were going to work on our legs today. and then she proceeded to place one stone btw each of our feet and the stirrup so we had to really press down on the stirrup. so then we walked, and trotted for a short while, and everytime someone dropped a stone, they had to turn in and let sue replace it. i didn't drop ANY!! YAY!! lol

then sue called us back in the middle and told us to canter :D. so basically we just did open order cantering. and i lost a few stones when i was doing my downward transitions :S. halfway, sue started complaining that she couldn't find anymore stones and that we were accidently stepping on her fingers when she replaced our stones. oops haha.

songkla was nice during all that. apart from thinking that d stones were polos and trying to bite my boot off... and i kept my reins nice!! and they didn;t get longer and longer!!:D. anyhow, there was this other horse and rider riding arould our arena on the outside. (dawn and caro said the horse was newsmaker). so everytime they passed us, songkla put his ears REAL flat and made this weird grunting sound. then during d cantering, he'd bolt off when they passed. which he did twice, and make me loose BOTH stones in my stirrups.

so after all that drama, sue called us back in and the lady went into the arena next to our's. so stupid me, though that songkla was going to behave and not bolt off again. then sue made us do sitting trot, still with the stones :S, as a ride. so we did and it was ok i suppose, but my left leg was not really pressing so i dropped a stone once.

and then, while we we trotting down the long side, newsmaker was coming down the long side of his arena on d other rein. i didn't notice and then he passed us and songkla bolted off and did a 45 degree turn towards the middle. and suddenly i feel myself flying out of the saddle and then i c d sky, and then next thing i knew i hit the wet sand, on my back. lol viv, dawn and caro said that i screamed. REALLY SHRILL :P which i weirdly don't remember haha. anyhow, i landed IN a puddle, staring up at songkla's nose and horrid teeth, and somehow still holding onto one rein and my whip lol.

so sue ran over and made me lie down in d puddle, while songkla ever so unrepentently just looked at the other horses. so i ended up with a COLD COLD SANDY back and my jodphurs were SOAKED. lol so after a while sue let me stand and she asked if i wanted to walk songkla down or ride him down. i chosed the latter so she gave me a leg up and we all rode down.

all i can say is THANK GOD FOR EXTRA SHIRTS!! haha. so that's my 1st OFFICIAL fall at btsc and now my name is in d accidents book!! YAY!! FINALLY!!! haha.

lol i just realised how many mistakes i made in my last post! this is what comes of typing REALLY fast...

lol i'm tooo lazy to blog abt viv's b'day!! i'm going to STOP procrastinating!! new year resolution lol. here i go...

picked jun up at 12-ish and then went to d club. then we met nat there. talked 4 abt 5 - 10 mins? then found out from her that d horse world shop owner apparently went overseas. :(

after nat left, we did a bit of h/w then did viv's card. lol we put a pic of her riding sonny and sulking ( i took it that other friday...) haha it was quite funny to look at ( lol viv is gna hit me when she reads this...) and jun did this REALLY nice vine pattern ard it :D!! AND sequins. ( lol u should hear abt jun's sequin hunt down at popular haha... "see-qun haa???" and we also decided to get a cab to turf city to get viv's prezzie.

after that we did more h/w then we decided to get lunch. d rat informed us that d kitchen was closed. lol, so then tanja called and we decided to meet her at turf city. so we packed up and walked out to d main road. then we tried to cross d road but d cars just kept coming! lol so viv we RISKED LIFE AND LIMB to get ur prez. capice?? u owe us both big haha... hint hint: jun's is 15 aug. BIGGER HINT: mine is 9th nov!! hahahaha

so we finally managed to hail a cab. guess where. ALONG D ROAD LEADING INTO TURF CITY ITSELF!! lol. so we got there n took a while to decide which long whip to get her. then after we went lunch. and then tanja came halfway. and then we took a cab back.

on d way back, d driver took a few wrong turns n stuff so jun n tanja had to direct him bk ( i'm hopeless w/ directions haha) nways halfway viv called us. lol she was still at home, n she asked what time i was going. since it was abt like 3 plus i told her i was going to pick jun up. lol it was sooo funny. jun n tanya had to whisper and i was like laughing sooo hard. lol so viv asked y i was laughing and so i told her that my brother just told a really funny joke. i don;t think she really believed that... ( did u viv?)

after that we gt bk and then we wrapped d prez up. lol it was soo fun haha. we rolled d whip in layers and layers of newspaper. then we rolled it in wrapping paper and then we basically over used d scotchtape. haha it ended up looking like a really fat scepter/ golf club haha. so at d big end jun put a smiley face :D. we told sandra it looked like her and she said, eh, u 4got d nose studs leh!! hahahaha.

we originally wanted to hide it in sonny's stall under d sawdust and go like, oh viv, do want to muck out sonny's stall?? and then let her muck out where d prez was. then go like eh? how did that get there?? hahaha. but in d end we just put it in d office on sandra n sue's shoe rack nxt 2 d whiteboard.

so we helped sandra walk bilco and then chuckie. then after we went to look at natural act n costner cuz tanja noes d owner... keith was it?? anyhow after that viv came. so we went to d office and she walked in and sat down. not noticing the HUGE "HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIV" which took up the entire board... nearly anyways... and d sandra-headed "scepter" lol viv.

so we had to go "Viv!! LOOK!!!" and point at d present. haha she finally noticed. nways she took a while to open d prez cuz we uses alot of tape and jun didn't allow her to use a blade haha. it was soo funny. so in d end we played tug of war and managed to pull it out of d wrapping. haha.

after that we just basically hung ard and talked until sandra's lesson. cathleen wasn't coming so it was only charlotte and alice ( on lil red n patch respectively) so jun took patch n alice and i took lil red n charlotte. so while we trotted and all, tanja and viv helped sandra make this obstacle course. lol it was kinda fun. so we basically played that and me n jun had to run and hold patch and little red back a bit cuz alice n charlotte were being extremely competive. while tanja and viv got to stand at the end of the lanes and raise their hands so d riders could hi-5 them :P haha.

after that we went down n viv had to leave so jun n i washed patch and little red and tanja was "according to lan lan" supervising haha. after that tanja left then jun n i put them bk and then got a lift from jun to d bus stop then took 93 home.

so that concludes the adventures of last saturday. lol wayy overdue

oh and this is one day overdue too ( but it doesn't count cuz i was nt home d whole of yesterday)

Friday was so fun :D!! School was a total bore. more than usual even. but riding was TOTALLY worth it. and after-riding was a BIGG BONUS! haha

So got there kinda late and changed. bumped into dawn in d toilet and went 2 d stables 2gether. met viv there and checked d board. Viv got oj ( she was suppose to get citi but he got somesorta throat infection? so sue had to chnag it) dawn got we r on 4 d THIRD TIME!!! and i got SONGKLA!! lol sue gave us all our requests :D yay 4 sue!! haha. caro didn't come cuz she had camp. hung ard a bit then got d horse out and mounted. it was REALLY hot so sue made us work in half d jumping arena in the shade.

We warmed up and then sue asked us to canter. my reins just kept getting LONGER and LONGER and sue was a bit annoyed. lol so we cantered together and singkla was VERY annoyed by oj behind and kept like lowering his neck and pretnding to buck so sue made me go in front :S songkla's canter is like WAYYYY SMOOTH!!! lol u can like sit soooo deep into d saddle!! but bobby's is STILL wayyy better. haha i'm biased!

nhow after riding we had water then went to write a BIG thank you msg to sue 4 letting each of us ride who we all requested for. then chun n fei came and we walked ard a bit then sue asked us to wash chuckie's feet which r even worse than usual :(. so chun dawn n me did. luckily was was in a good mood and didn't try to kick. halfway thru daphne and frances came with a bag of gummies. lol chuckie was soo interested in it. kept saying his pleases ( admit it! he's cute! AND polite.)

aftr that me n dawn grazed him and then we put him in d paddock. d sweeet boy didn't eat and started folowing us <3! halfway while followng dawn though he kinda did a small buck and it was kinda scarey. after, dawn went down and i grazed him 4 a bit then spent 1/3 of my tube of polos trying to lure him down.

after, chun fei n daph went 4 their lesson riding stanley, gold ridge n oj respectively. d french lady rode songkla and this other girl rode lobo. frances helped me dry chuckie's feet then we put d orangey goo which burns ur hand. (:S had to wash it off w/ his shampoo after) after sue said we could graze him again so we brought him up 2 heaven so we could watch their lesson.

nways he settled down after a few secs of watching d horses in d lesson ( i had d impression that he was going "nahnah :P i get to eat and u have to work" lol) . I could occasionally hear snorts of delight between the constant sounds of him munching. it started to get a bit breezy and d green fence behind us started to creak a bit but d lug had burried is entire face in that huge mound of grass and couldn't b bothered. then this HUGE breeze came by and the fence like nearly collapsed. chuckie shied and tried to bolt 4 like a sec. songkla who was cantering also bolted 4 a while, but d lady managed to get him under control. it was soooo freaky!! I though he was going to trample me down!! :S:S nyhow, he calmed down and started eating all over again and then ANOTHER breeze came. he nearly wrenched my arm out! god he's strong! now i noe how tanja felt w/ firehouse that time. after he calmed down, sue got kinda worried so she told me to bring him down.

went the long way so i got to d stables same time as them. i was about to cross tie him at d shower stalls when sue said that he changed him stall to laser fella's ( laser went to oj's old stall) cuz he got a new groom. so we cross tied him backward so his butt face d outside and sue started to bandage his feet. he started trying to kick so she got me to hand feed him his chaff. after, i put him back and he got "aquainted" w/ his new neighbour: sonny. he tried to bite sonny through d bars and all so d mando had to move his feed bucket to d other side. he sill didn't like sonny one bit so he kicked at d wall while eating.

sighh... i DO hope they get along eventually... sandra said maybe he just needs some time to get used to it. will post abt viv's b'day 2moz... or wed... yeah wed cuz i have school then cca then riding 2moz. YAY!! i STILL want 2 ride cupcake...

fri's riding. rode cowwgirl penny :D dawn got we r on ( begging sue really works ;)hahahaha ) caro got oatie. and viv got songkla (jealous stare). lol so we basically did open order cuz caro n dawn were late. but sue like kinda gave me a lesson on flexing. anyways she said i nearly got penny into an outline :D. i have to WORK REALLY HARD!!!! and CONQUER this horrid obstacle in my way!!! haha. nhow, viv dawn n me made requests :P and we used like tons of postits b4 we got it neat... lol ok it was actually me... until viv took over lol. i asked 4 songkla bobby chuckie or oj. and when i came home i realised i 4got to ask 4 PENNY!!! :S:S:S:S sighhhh how am i ever gna learn to flex... rode watercolours on tues. yeeech. she's like huge gray mare and really stubborn and TOTALLY IMMUNE to d whip. sighh. she is soooo irritating and frustrating to ride :S. needless to say it was a horrid lesson. her canter was all over d place. AND she kept trying to attack johnny (caro) and sam (elisabeth)(jun didn't come. btw jun, ere supposed to ride smint). plus she nearly attacked zul too!! :S luckily he took it like he has huge horses trying to attack him everyday lol. in d end he took caro's whip and used it like a lunge whip to keep her on d track. oh yeah he kept saying he was zorro haha!!

mr chew came as well and gave us a partial refund 4 d bangkok trip. (??) he also said that there was a free slot in d fri slot that me dawn n viv r in and caro took it :D !! apparently that gabrielle person was moved out and surina can't make it 4 d lesson now.

riding 2moz :D lol finally back at btsc!! hope i ride bobby. i haven't ridden him in EONS!!! and i miss his canter tooo!! NO ONE can match it!! <33

it's my parents anniversary 2moz too!! lol 15th to b exact. we're going out 4 dinner i think... and we got smt 4 them too :D

lol i LUV going 2 btsc!! haha i went again on sat w/ viv n jun and it was sooo fun!!! even though we weren't riding!

ok gave jun a lift and we got there like abt 3 30 ish? and n min we walked through d stable gate sue was like... really happy 2 c us and like waving lol. nways she asked us if we were bored and promptly gave us work to do. she was like "are u artistic? bcuz i need u to paint letters for heaven so d begginers can practise walk-trot and then rewrite d metal name plates 4 d horses." so we sat down in d yard and used black paint and painted letters sue had drawn earlier on wooden plates and got paint on my hand ( luckily it washes off!!) me n jun after washing off d paint on our hands decided that they didn't look too bad and decided to advertise ourselves as professional arena letter painters lol. and we work for rides :D hahah.

after that sue handed us these paint markers and got us to do d horses' nameplates. d head syce saw us doing sonny's and then drew a horse on it lol. looked quite good actually... ( viv was jealous :P haha) and we did d other horse's ones too.

after that viv came and we all went to ask of sue had anything 4 us to do. viv n i ended up filling a bucket full of water 2 soak d sugarbeet. jun went to help sandra tack patch up 4 this little girl.

after that sandra's 6 15 class came. aka PRINCESS CHARLOTTE!!! * fanfare* lols. camille and cathleen were sick so lucky charlotte had a private. so sandra sent d 3 royal attendants to help her royal highness onto d royal mount; translated jun, viv n me went to help charlotte onto patch. lol when we walked to d pony's stables patch's groom was like walking 2wards us and holding a saddle and bridle. and asked " who r u riding" and we all said "patch". lol he thwacked his forhead and d other syces ard started laughing and he said he had untacked patch. and jun was like "ahhh all my hard work!!!" lol so d syce tacked patch up in record time and charlotte mounted and went 4 her private lesson "w/ d royal riding instructor" hahaha.

after that d 3 of us decided to bath d horses in sue's lesson. viv was washing her sonny-san, jun got biscuit and i got BOBBY!!! lol i haven't like really spent much time w/ him lately. :S i miss riding him!! sighhh... nways i got really wet bathing him cuz d hose was leaking and kept spraying me. after that we just basically hung ard and all untill jun's dad came and got a lift from her.

OH YES!!! big news!! lol halfway while skipping out chuckie's stall (jun n me were waiting 4 d marker ink to dry) mr chew called!! lol he said I CAN RIDE FRIDAYS!!! :D:D:D with viv n dawn!!! cuz no one wants d slot! :D:D:D YAY!!! lol soooo happy!!! lesson begins this fri!!!!!!!:D

school was sooo dead yesterday. i couldn't wait 4 after geog!! lol so after that i went home changed then went to btsc 2 watch viv n dawn's lesson. weirdly they both got their fav horses; dawn got we r on n viv got her sonny-san ( jun help!! she did it soo much it' gone to my head!!!) and this other girl called surina got sos. mr chew put this new girl in their class. gabrielle mosley or smt like that. she's quite cute and she's ONLY NINE!!!! can u imagine??? and she can canter arld!!! but poor gabrielle got patch, and patchie as usual was bullying her. they went up to heaven but i didn't go cuz sue asked me to wait 4 surina who didn't come in d end. (lol i tried to beg sandra to let me ride :P)

aft 20 mins i went up and took pics 4 them. then after a while it started to rain. d ppl who came to watch like all popped out umbrella's. lol i took some more pics then d rain got heavier so i had to go down :(. lol so i talked w/ sandra in her office while waiting 4 them. anyhow she sez that their class can b 6 ppl max so i can ask mr chew to put me in IF 2 other ppl dun join... I HOPE!!! *crosses fingers*

after that they came down and then 3 of us went to d clubhse aft giving a horses some polos. talked 4 a bit then viv had to go. and then me n dawn talk some more then went to d stables. chun n fei came and sue asked them to do d feed 4 d horses so we did d chaff and salt. then after a while my mum came so i had to leave.

lol i just remembered smt. there was this girl i can't remem her name ( i think she's one of d kunzes... ) but she's REALLY PRO!!! and she was like riding this REALLY nice bay. so she stopped to adjust her girth. then d horse moved 4ward a few steps and she had like loose reins and all and she wasn't even like sitting properly. and she just really strictly said some german word which sounds like "parte" and d horse just STOPPED DEAD!!! my god!! i was like OMG OMG!!! haha. tanya sez it's warte; german 4 wait lol. i wish i could do that man!!! haha soo kwl!!! :D:D:D

yesterday's riding was the BEST!! i rode this 3 YR OLD SORREL (bright chestnut) ARAB!!! she's sooooo cute!!! and her name really is cute too lol. it's CUPCAKE!! <3<3

i was suppose to ride wolfman but they 4got 2 put caro's name on d board. anyhow, me n jun went 2 c zul and in d end he made me ride cupcake and caro rode wolfman. jun rode buzz and elizabeth rode onslow again.

Cupcake's like REALLY tiny... then again she's 3... and she has a REALLY araby head. u noe, all dished and stuff. she's got REALLY nice paces. er steps r real tiny though... think misty maybe a tad smaller.

lol i was kinda nervous abt riding her. so i mounted and did lots of walk -halt transitions. then after that we did like serpentines and circles in trot. did alot of flexing on her and she started tossing her head alot. so i stopped using soo much hand and i just flexed lightly in d corners like sue taught us and she was like SOOOOO EASY TO GET ON D BIT!!! it felt REALLY NICE riding her after that. haha

as usual we did lots of canter. cupcake has NICE trot-canter transitions!! only prob is getting her to keep the canter. it was really fun doing it though. lol she's officially in my top 5 favs :D i just haven't decided what no yet... :P i am so fickle haha

sat was such a horsie dayy :D picked jun up at thomson plaza then went to btsc. 1st we went 2 d club hse to get jun's customary "saturday glass of water" while d nice lady was at d counter and ended up bumping into ( would u believe it??) rick aka d natural horsemanship guy. lol he said he was meeting mr chew and all cuz he was thinking of doing a course 4 us pony clubbers. somehow ended up trying 2 explain d diff btw pony club in btsc and spc. rick actually thought we had our own stable 4 a while. in d end he gave us his card to pass to mr chew.

after that, we went to pet chuckie in d lunging ring ( he was going 2 b lunged by sue). then went 2 check d noticeboard. apparently there had been a syce training workshop that afternoon and they used goldridge, oj and oatie 4 it ( aka d "anti human horses" ). rick had conducted it and apparently the 3 aformentioned horses were all very quiet 4 d duration of d course!! can u imagine??!! ( sandra told us that last year oatie charged rick outta d arena!! hahaha! )

then after that viv came and we watched sue lunge chuckie 4 a while. then sandra enlisted us to pull manes :S we started on bilco. he was sweeeeeet!!! he just like stood there and let us just do whateva we wanted w/ him <3. sue was like "wah! got stable management lessons for free ah??" jun was d best at it. all those she pulled were all from d roots!! after that we moved on 2 lobo and left sandra to finish our... lets just say we were more of a nuisance... SORRY SANDRA!!! lol lobo was quite hard to pull. i gave up after a while.

after that we walked ard 4 a bit and then at abt 6 05 realised that lobo was in sandra's 6 15 class and nt tacked up so we tacked him up (yes 3 ppl 4 one horse haha) then waited 4 d riders 2 come. charlotte was riding little red, camille had tikki and cathleen had lobo. in d end i helped cathleen mount up and do up her stirrups. they had to b twisted like TRICE!!! her dad was quite nice and helped me hold lobo while i twisted d stirrups. ( i think they r phillipinoe cuz of their accents... ) we went up to heaven and jun walked w/ charlotte, i walked w/ camille and viv walked w/ cathleen. sandra set up that box game and we played it 4 a while. tikki kept trying to take a chunk out of my leg ( annoying little guy) and nearly bit my hand. camille found it most amusing... after that we did trotting and i lead lobo 4 a while. IT WAS DISASTROUS MAN!!! lobo kept going soo fast and he was sooo strong so i kept having to pull him into a circle :S cathleen was really sweet abt it though. she wasn't like annoyed or whateva when i did it. in d end i switched w/ sandra and lead tikki again. after that we went down and viv had to go home so we gave d horses her carrots. chuckie was sooo cute!! he sooo remembered that "say please" thingy it taught him <3<3 heee :D after that we walked ard d stables 4 a while then got a lift from jun home.

viv is sooo lucky!! she riding on fri!! at btsc!! and dawn too!!! sighh... ah wells there'd riding 2moz!! can't wait!! i hope i get... er... CABBY!!! :D:D:D

man!! school's been one hell of a hectic blur!! and d sec 1 cca orientation thingy on sat is sooo nt helping!! i think i was dillusioning when i was filling my sub comb form!! :S

nways riding on sat was gd i suppose... hank was REALLY sweet. but halfway i got a STOMACH ACHE!!! like what a waste man!!! ah wells we didn't canter at all cuz it had rained b4 and sue was afraid d horses would run off. so we just did alot of flexing ( nt easy job on -- quoting chun-- "hank the plank" lols )

we oso helped at sandra's 6 15 lesson. it rained like DIRECTLY after our lesson ( lol REAL MIRACLE!!! soo kwl haha) only cathleen ( my namesake haha) and camille came so sandra took them and penny 2 d sandbox. 1st they had to untack penny then sandra sent them to get penny's leadrope. after that they rode bareback on penny ( envy!!). told sandra she should have put them on james lol; me MEAN muahahaha. nways they were kinda freaked abt it and then sandra made them do ard d world while penny was walking. of course they were like nonono so she made them do ard d world while penny halted.

haha was quite cute to watch them do it. and everytime they lifted their boot over penny's neck they would leave sand on penny's mane. so sandra would like b "angry" and acted like some housekeeper and tsk while brushing d sand off penny's mane haha. was quite funny.

after that we hung ard in sandra's office and just basically talked n stuff. nways she said 4 weekdays d 4pm slots r all free so i'm prob gna ride on fridays now... dno... ah wells.

When we talk about basic paces, we are talking about the paces a horse has been given by nature. The idea is to maintain their purity, and then improve them under saddle. Many riders lose the purity of the paces because their horse doesn't go properly through, and on the bit. The rider's driving aids are insufficient and the horse never allows the half halt to flow through its body. The horses develop a block somewhere, the neck, the back, the mouth, wherever, and that takes away the freedom of the pace. The horse becomes restricted through the rider's aids, rather than enhanced in his paces through the rider's aids.

the nz trip was kwl!! lol and i also made a conclusion:

a dressage whip if not fitted into luggage is actually TOP priority baggage haha!!

yes i finally found the PERFECT dressage whip at the canterbury saddlery and it was CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP toooo!! paid like $15!! lol so then my mum tried to fit it into d luggage but of course i would NEVER allow her to bend *like the lotr ring obsessed guy (i 4got his name... my brain melted in d nz sun u c...) * my preciousssss. in d end carried it w/ my horsie mags i got in hand ( so i wouldn't crush those LOVELY cover pages... of the mags i mean...) lol

at d airport d person at d check-in counter was kinda unsure if i could carry it on board and so she checked w/ security who after a good laugh (humphhhh!!! * glares* ) said that just 2 b sure we should check it in.

so the NICE SIA lady at d counter next door went to get some left over boxes and tape and this sponge/ styrofoam thingy. so d two of them like kinda cut up d box and sponge and like made this make-shift box to fit my whip in. lol i cut up the tape ( which was neon orange and is like super super offical looking-ish. plus it had NEW ZEALND AIRPORT AUTHORITIES printed on it!! soo kwl haha. then we put it in a huge plastic bag and sealed it up w/ more orangey nz aiport tape. then came the fun part!! they like put sooo many priority tags and basically WRAPPED it in "FRAGILE!!!" stickers and i added the "TOP STOW" stickers!! haha it looked REALLY funny lol! then the lady was like "that is d MOST prioritized piece of luggage i have ever seen!!" hahahahaha. lol and it was the 1ST peice of luggage out at the belt too!! haha so kwl!

lol oh yes and i rode twice. western!! 1 word: OUCH!!! both times were hacks or as the kiwi ppl call it trekking. the terrian was quite uneven and all. but it was quite fun...

wahhhhh only 2 more days of hol left here!!! :( then it back to school and stress :S and tests tooo *moan* only good thing is d new school building and d lockers. lol i'm gna put chuckie's pic on d inside of d door! haha

YESTERDAY WAS D LESSON EVA!!!!!!! BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST BESTEST!!!!! *swoon* i <3 CABRIOLE!!! CABBY CABRIOLE!!! LUV LUV LUV LUV!!!!...

lol ok so went to polo club early . so checked out d dressage whips at d d'equestrian store. didn't buy in d end cuz i didn't like d handle. then after went to d stables and visited buckay 4 a while then checked d board. i got buzz :) (@ caro and jun: caro u got cocoa and jun u got wolfman) elisabeth got cabriole. nway got kinda impatient and went to d arena early and mounted and warmed up. zul came and then elisabeth came. so we warmed up (again 4 me) and then did serpentines over and over. and i was lead file!!! :S lol good thing was zul allowed me to choose how many loops in d serpentine. ended up doing NO 5-looped ones and only one 4-looped one haha.

then after we did canter. zul was like ok we r gna start basic training 4 flying changes; aka cantering diagonals. so 1st zul made us trot d diagonals and work on going straight. then after that we cantered. buzz's canter was as usual very nice and smooth... like bobby's <3. problem was this time it was hard keeping him in it. elisabeth behind me kept going "whoa" d min cabby went into canter. even though it seemed ok. quite disastrous cuz i kept having to go bk to trot so cabby wouldn't bolt off. in d end i got kinda annoyed lol. so i offered to switched horses which elisabeth seemed quite relieved to?? luckily zul is not like sandra and allowed us to switch.

cabby was REAL diff from buzz. cabby's like HUGEE but kinda on d thin side, extremely forward and liver chestnut and sooo smooth!!! lol and buzz is like fat, short compared to cabby, kinda lazy and pinto. zul made me go lead AGAIN :S lol but it was kinda fun on cabby. nway we cantered in d corner and then went on untill juz b4 d other end then trot then in d corner after d diagonal ends pick up d canter again. d 3rd time we did this cabby shied away from d corner just b4 d diagonal and bolted off and tried to attack buzz who was like 4 or 5 horse lengths behind us. THANK GOD 4 D LESSON ON WATERCOLOURS!!! i managed to turn him away (whew) and after a short bolt in d opp direction get him back to trot.

call me mad but it was actually quite fun! haha nway after a short slow trot we did d exercise again. and...*drumroll* cabby bolted again and he did d exact same thing. except this time d horse he attacked was this chestnut horse who this lady was riding ( she had LONG LONNG reins and d horse was like SOOOOOO ON D BIT!!! so kwl!!! ) took me by surprise but did d same thing. in total he bolted like 4 times?? and i didn't fall!!! (keeping up my "legacy" haha. @ dawnee: i think maybe u were rite abt d glue saddle thingy ;) ) lol i weirdly actually enjoyed his bolts. oh and d lady riding d chestnut walked by and said "well ridden" while we were walking after he bolted again!!!

at d end zul asked me if i was in d SPEX TEAM!!! i was like no and he said "well if u work hard u will be".

i was kinda shocked lol. then zul was like u noe cabby is elementry level?? he's very nice to do leg yielding on. lol so i tried like once. it's sooo NICE!!!! lol and i kinda felt like i was bk at hlc... indoor arena, high level horses... nway after that we did d diagonal thing one by one and i realised cabby has HUGE STRIDES!!! like 1 of his strides is equal to 2 of buzz's??

nway that's just d start of my riding week!!! -- weeelll almost a week... i didn't ride 2day but 2moz i'm going RL!!!! :D:D:D and staying untill fri evening!! nway i gtg byee...

hello all u wonderful ppl :D now i'm a bit highh... lol nway gna blog abt rl comp:

i entered prelim 1.1, prelim 1.2, novice 2.1 and 2 jumping classes. got Katie, AVeryCertain (AVC), Kampong, AVC and AVC (again) respectively. lol i was actually kinda in a shock cuz i thot i would get pipsqueak 4 dressage and kampong 4 jumping. had to like REPLAN my ENTIRE strategy :S NOT a fun thing to do on d eve of one's comp.

2.1 was early sat morning and my 1st event. kampong is NOT a very nice dressage horse and half d test was SITTING trot!!! and kampong is quite bouncy :S lol! he's also very UN-forward. nway i 4got d test was in sitting trot half d time ( kampong's bouncyness didn't help) so ended up doing rising trot alot :S ... also 4got that we cannot use our voices and clicked to make kampong go faster!! lol d judge was quite nice though didn't penalise me. still did quite badly though... but considering i've never even done 1.1 in a comp and i was starting d day w/ novice it was quite good?? haha

1.1 was ok. it was just that i'd NEVER ridden katie 4 dressage b4 and only rode her to jump ONCE and that was HORRID and EONS ago. lol didn't really noe what to expect. she was quite good except 4 d canters and trots immediately after d canters. she tends to cuts her corners alot during canters and trots REALLY horribly after d canter so i didn't really do well. 10th place and $25 (50RM) prize... lols

d 30cm clear round was kinda bad cuz there was this fence at A ( third jump of d course) and u had to go REALLY INTO d corner to do it properly or d horse would juz refuse it. i cleared d 1st 2 jumps quite nicely. then i didn't go into d corner deep enough and AVC refused. got REALLY nervous and i think AVC sensed it and refused again and went out d LEFT!! and we knocked down d jump. lol had to circle in trot while myrs put d jump back... SOOO embarrasing!! :S:S:S nway after that i was SOOOOO nervous and AVC like refused again and i got eliminated :( didn't finish d course

the 30~50 clear and time was WAYYYY GOOD!!!! it was d same course juz that there were fillers in one jump and d jumps were higher. haha AVC MEMORISED d WHOLE course so cute ya?? i was wayyy tense haha and nervous too!! when we went 'sailing' over d 3rd jump ( d exact jump i got elliminated 4) i was SOO happy!!! lols but d excitment only REALLY caught up w/ me at d 5th jump. after we went over that i 4GOT D REST OF D COURSE!!! lol i wanted to go right for some odd reason but AVC pulled me over 2 d left and over d 6th jump i got into 2 pt a little too late. poor boy!! and then we did d 7th 8th and 9th. d 10th jump was d 3rd jump. just from d opposite direction. wasn't thinking str and cut d corner!!! he refused of course :( circled and cleared it. lol i missed a clear round by ONE CORNER!!! lol kinda wasted... but that's showjumping 4 u.

1.2 was on sun. did ok i guess. AVC was kinda tired and all. but he still gave me his best (my poor baby!!) was quite ok juz my halt was qute bad... avc heard d gate creak open while i was getting him to halt and drifted a bit and i didn't have a square hal :S. ah wells can't really blame him. he was really tired and i'm sure he wanted to get bk to his stable. d judge said i have to work on my downward transitions more though... lol i must remem to do more bergardes ya?? haha

RIDER'S LODGE RULES!!! haha d trip was really really really fun!! went up this weekend w/ my family, tanya and caro. got to rl at abt 10ish (looong car ride cuz my dad got lost halfway and there was a traffic jam at d causeway.) and then went down to check who we were riding. was supposed to ride katie 4 d 11 lesson (jumping) w/ catz but d last time i jumped her was soooo bad. begged catz 4 a change and she changed it to... *drumroll*... KAMPONG!!! :D:D:D caro was on AVC and there was this japanese lady on d new pony pipsqueak (more on her later -- pip not d jap lady) and her fren on mr boots. tanya joined d lesson on crowe. started out w/ trotting poles then small cross pole jumps. pip was behaving exactly like penny over d poles (urgh :S:S:S nightmare) aka gallopping over them again and again and her rider eventually slid off. luckily she landed quite lightly. catz then switched pip to rocky who was a biggg improvement. tanya was of course going over d jumps w/ ease on crowe. AVC was being a tad lazy but caro got him going nicely. kampong? HE WAS AMMMMAAZZING!!!!! then catz put up 3 srt jumps and then asked us to go over them in order w/ 2 rein changes!!! i was like OMG i've neva even done smt like that b4. haha but it was really fun!!! all i had to do was point darling kampong at d jump, look at d next jump and go into 2 pt seat. HE ROCKS!!! oh yeah and halfway during d lessson i went into 2 pt too early and kampong jumped d jump and i dno what happened but when he landed i was sitting in front of d saddle, and i lost my stirrups and my helmet had slid 4ward over my eyes. caro later told me she was like "okay she's a goner. this is fall no 1" haha. luckily i manged to get back in d saddle and didn't fall... though i though i would...

went 4 lunch at legends then since my sibs didn;t have any lessons they stayed there 2 swim and d 3 of us walked bk to rl cuz there was no buggy. quite a short walk really. when we got bk we were sooo bored so we asked catz if there was ny one we could take out 2 graze. caro took super force out cuz he was lame i think. i took artic (he's sooo cute!!) and tanya took firehouse.

we had a dressage lesson at 3 w/ catz. i had sandman, caro had pip and tanya had crowe. there was this girl called stephanie on AVC. sandman was being absolutely HORRID. he kept shying away from d corners at A. when i made him go into them he bolted. twice. sigh... nway we practised dressage test one by one. so one person would stay in d arena w/ catz and d rest would go walk ard d pond. i did d 1.1 test on him but catz didn't want me to canter him cuz of his bolting so i did sitting trot instead of canters.

after d lesson we took pip out and barebacked her. steph tagged along w/ us which kinda got a bit annoying. then we put her back and took out super, crowe mars and sarabago. had dinner at d cafe ( REALLY YUMMY FOOD) and then took some photos. after, we begged catz to loan us a movie. wanted to watch In Her Shoes but catz was kinda reluctant so we watched peter pan instead (d movie not d cartoon) on steph's labtop in our room.

nxt day we had a lesson at 9 w/ catz and tanya had a private jumping w/ jay at 8. woke up and changed then had breakfast. then went down. tanya was like soo tired after her lesson haha. steph was oso in our 9 o'clock lesson. she rode boots, caro rode chester and i rode pipsqueak. we warmed up and then we practised dressage tests again. catz asked me to do d novice 2.1 test and i was like soo shocked and told her i didn't memorise d test. so in d end she called it out and i did it on darling darling pip. she was soooo nice!!! she's really 4ward and all. plus her canter is REALLY fast but w/ some half halts aka bergardes it was really nice!! only prob was it was kinda hard to halt her squarely. :S and get her on d bit... ah wells.

after that i had a lesson at 11 and i nearly rode big splendor but jay gave me diamond. catz took d lesson. and i did d 1.1 test again. diamond was really nice but it's kinda hard to get him to do circles in canter. he was really nice and forward though. oh yes! there was this REALLY REALLY irritating guy in d lesson. he and his daughter were in d lesson plus 2 other french girls. he was riding boots and was like talking to him like he expected boots to understand him. "walk on" , "trot on" , "halt... whoa" it was sooo irritating. plus his voice is really loud!! i think catz got kinda irritated by d end of d lesson too. after d lesson went to walk around d pond then walked over to d other arena where my sibs were having their begginner lesson w/ jay. it was quite cute watching them haha. then after that brought diamond back and then we went 4 lunch at some chinese restaurant then went bk to singapore.

BANGKOK TRIP 2 HORSE LOVERS' STABLES :D

LOL ok i noe this post is wayyyy wayyy overdue and i can't remem most of d finer details. 4 those go to dawn's blog. LONGGG LONGGG post in which i commentted on d 1st 1/2. okay so i'm, gna do this in pt form...
Yijun Chun Fei Nat Dawn Jun Caro and me plus Yijun's parents (Mr chew and Auntie Kakee) and Nat's dad
On d plane there we sat right at d bk of d plane
and chun made frens w/ some ahpek ppl ( one told her his life story -- stroke and paralysis and etc)
On d 1st day there was an EXTREMELY SWEEET liver chestnut pony in d arena nearest d ponies' stables. walked in cuz it's a shortcut and d pony followed me ard a arena even though she had hay in d arena and i wasn't holding any treats at all. :D really really kwl experience.
The horses r HUGE and PRETTY
Instuctors were KYRA: a 21 yr old advanced level dressage rider and MAREE: d NATIONAL THAI showjumping coach
There was a puppy named Beam and every one juz DOTES on him! he's THAT cute

There was a Grande Pre rider from austria there: Mr edmund aka yijun, kyra and marina's instructor. likes 2 use funny terms such as "OOT-side canter " 4 a counter canter and "Leeteel (little ) Bergarde" (german. pronounced BAR-gaRR- dayy) 4 a half halt. quite amusing.
CHUN, FEI, DAWN, JUN, NAT, YIJUN & CARO GAVE ME A SURPIRISE BIRTHDAY!!! Stables was right next door to famous bangkok dreamworld theme park
Managed to escaped from d VAST VAST mosquito poppulation w/out falling prey 2 dengue ;)
there's a little coke stand which sells coke in GLASS BOTTLES!! soo quaint
Dawn told me that dressage in french is pronounced as TCHWESSAZHE! soo kwl ;)

D Birthday Surprise :D:D:D
It somehow happened 2 b on d same day as d BBQ (was it a coincidence u guys?? ) lol really really really NICE SURPRISE!! In d morning only dawn and caro wished my happy birthday and i thot d rest had 4gotten. then they were whspering abt it all thorugh dinner and BLUR me didn't even suspect or notice a thing. then they all PURPOSELY pretended to like playing outside d clubhouse (where we had dinner) and being eaten alive by d mosquitoes. Played horse and rider outside in d carpark 4 a while. Nat, Chun and YiJun were d horses and Caro was nat's rider, Jun was Chun's and I was yijun's. Dawn was sandra (long hair) and fei was sue (short hair) haha. we all had a BLAST playing. Of course d horses all bolted and us riders fell alot. haha i fell a record no of THREE TIMES!!! haha my 1st fall off a horse :D Dawn kept trying to make them slow down by doing sandra's "heyyy-ho" sound which made it soo funny haha. Fei even had 2 "school"... er... nat i think it was juz HILARIOUS. d "instructors" also tried to lunge nat but she tangled up d lunge line on d carpark pillar haha. Yijun even took jun on a jumping lesson over pretend jumps which were HUGE!!! haha then they dragged me in and i saw d BIGG cake!! surrounded by all d dry ice and all!!! Lol I WAS SOO SHOCKED!!! d cake was a swensens ice cream cake (which i had a hard time cutting haha) then they even presented me w/ a PRESENT!!! a horse statuette (which is now on my shelf) and Horse mug ( which now holds my morning milo or tea )

HUUGE chestnut gelding who likes anyone who gives him sugar cudes carrots or apples. was once an excellent dressage horse but had a leg injury and is recovering. walk and trot is VERY VERY VERY smooth!!!! He's stiff in corners, turns and circles cuz his right leg was hurt. gotta use alotta left leg to get him out onto d track. canter is very STIFF. esp on d right rein
Georgie:
liver chestnut pony-mare who followed me around <3!! during my 1st lesson on her, she behaved like patch 4 d 1st 5 mins so i borrowed kyra's whip and tapped her. she was all right after that. walk and trot is quite nice. trot gets a tad fast smt so u have to bergarde haha. canter is VERY VERY fast!!! and SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE!!! d 1st time i cantered her kyra was like "okay u guys. turn into d centre and let's let kathleen and her little rocket have d 1st canter" !!!! she basically bolts whenever u give d canter aid. Maree said d speed was ok but d others all said we were going racehorse fast!! haha.

Very nice chestnut gelding. abt 18~19 hh. even bigger than GoodLuck. Likes to stick his tougue out of his mouth when someone is riding him. it looks VERY VERY CUTTEEE!! ( but unfortunately is classified as a bad habit in d dressage arena :( ) Like 2 go near d fence and ends up scratching ur boots and jophurs on d fence line. HE GOT A HOLE IN MY JOPHURS DOING THAT!!! and it was my FAV FAV FAV pair toooo :( moans. gaits are very very smooth like GoodLuck's. canter is EXCELLNT!!! BIT MY THUMB!!!! it's blue-blacked now :( .
Joker:
Gray pony- STALLION!! however he's not a Stallion-stallion type but more of an OLD COOT of a stallion. EXTREMELY EXTREMELY LAZY. dno how kyra rides him 4 elementry dressage test. Needs alot of seat and leg and whip to get him going... but he has nice eyes!! haha and is terribly photogenic. gets really grumpy when approached. Walk and trot are very slow but can get nice. canter is very smooth!!! but slow. feels VERY VERY nice in 2-pt position aka jumping position.
Only You:
Dark chestnut Mare. also a showjumper. needs a little thwack here and there but otherwise ok. Very hard to get on d bit. not nice w/ side reins cuz she pulls down on ur hands which is terribly irritating. Very hard to get into canter from trot. Bucks when whipped juz b4 going into canter. Canter is very smooth!!

EXTREMELY SMALL Chestnut pony w/ 4 white socks which makes him look kinda pinto-ish. rode him 4 jumping. anticipates jumps and seems to walk trot and canter v fast but it's actually okay (cuz of his length of leg u c) does not work well with short reins. not easy to halt from trot. also anticipates canter alot. all one has to do is do sitting trot and he zooms off into canter. u dun even have to give d canter aid. canter may seem a bit fast but it's quite ok. EXTREMELY EXTREMELY SMOOOTH!!! FANTASTIC JUMPER!!! :D:D:D
however tends to refuse d jump somtimes and runs out on d left.

haha okay i noe i haven't been blogging lately... i even nearly 4got my username and all. lol ok i'll start w/ fri. LAST DAY OF 2/1!!! :S:S:S like all of us r really going 2 diff classes next year and all so we were all kinda emotional. i brough my cam 2 school but d pics r all in my cam haha. okay i think i'll post them another day...

Went 4 mass in d evening ( bella came home from school with me) d usual ppl came. went to mac's 4 dinner and went 4 carrolling prac. Auntie Pom got d final line up of songs out. Megan Kriffith Bella and me were doing funny actions to d songs haha *sings* WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND :D:D:D
Riding was FUN FUN FUN!!!i 4got my helmet!! cuz we had to go 4 some rehersal 4 my dad's b'day dinner 2nite :S. ended up borrowing one from d office!! all of them were too big or too small except this one which sue said when i wore it made me look like i was going 2 war haha!! and it was kinda loose as well and kept sliding 4ward while i was riding. I RODE CHUCKIE!!(again :D:D:D)!!! and jun was on OJ (lucky) viv was on her fav sonny (she was sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy ) sanajana came and rode Bobby ( :S i miss riding him...) and Brenda was in our lesson (loose lesson) and she rode Songkla. So we went up 2 paradise and warmed up. we did lotsa flexing in trot and TONS of circles. and 5 mins of open order doing circles and flexing. Chuckie speeded up everytime i tried 2 flex so i ended up doing more half halts than flexing... but i think my flexing's improved somewhat after all this weeks. after we removed our stirrups and did trot- halt transitions. i sucked at them... ah wells... chuckie was really good... it was all me. he must've been really confused. :S poor boy -- my fault!! we did one canter each as well then went down. washed chucks w/ sue but this time we only had 2 shampoo his legs once unlike d week b4 when we had 2 shampoo twice then bandage them and d wekk b4 we had to do all that plus shave d hair off d part above his hooves. HE'S GETTING BETTER!!! :D:D:D yay!!!
Tonite is dad's five-oh birthday party... gna b super boring. we're gna b like d only kids there and we haven't met half d ppl who r coming... sigh... only plus is it's at some italian restaurant in club street. Oooh i more week 2 bangkok!!! that's 7 days!! YAY!!! REJOICE!!! oh and

EXAMS ALL OVER!!! :D:D:D:D haha ok this i like 2 days late but nvm... Yesterday was FUN!! i didn't have school!!! and all my sibs had to go to school!! MUAHAHAHAHAH (i'm mean like that haha). Nway i went to d sicc gym w/ my mum and tried out all d funny machines there. then did some treadmile and then showered at d lady's golf bathroom ( IT'S SOOO MUCH FANCIER THEN D SWIMMING POOL BATHROOM!!!)

went off to wisma atria. went to bebe cuz they were having a 50% sale. then went to meet bella at borders cuz she was staying over. went home 4 lunch. after, i went w/ bella to toa payoh 4 fun and we got a pair of earings each and $1 bubble tea!! haha.

got home, then went to pick cuz mandy up and go 4 mass. met lynn, madeleine, aaron, nick, megan, kriffith and marvin. d other cat "family tree" ppl didn't come. then went down to d gardens market 4 dinner. after we all went 4 rosary at megan's neighbour house. terrence dropped bella and me home after w/ d others. it's so nice we all live around d same area :D and that terence has a van big enough so we all had to squeeze in d back, LOL!!

Going to d stable later EARLY!!! :D:D:D:D haha me jun and viv r going to hang around and take lotsa pics and maybe graze some horses. wonder who i'm riding later though...

i'm here cuz i'm trying to 4get that i: HAVE A SCIENCE PAPER 2MOZ!!! AND I CAN'T REMEM ANYTHING!!! not d chem equations, not d formulae, not... ANYTHING :S:S:S and like science is wayyy important so i can take my sciences next yr and 4 o levels and then go do a vet course in JC!!!! FREAK FREAK FREAK!!! so to take a breather and to forget all that 4 a while i'm gna talk horsie:

i luv Chuckie... and i luv OJ and BOBBY tooo.... would it b a crime to like too many horses??? a betrayal maybe??? and i luv Little red... and Kampong... and i miss RL and JUMPING!!!!! oh y can't d freaking exams b over already and then i can go rl and ride and jump and... ... and drown ALL my sorrows away!!!

I can't believe i passed up a chance to ride OJ!!! :S ... then again if i'd ridden OJ yesterday i'd b saying i can't believe i passed up a chance to ride REPORT TIME :S:S sigh...

Yesterday was quite fun... i even got SIDE REINS!!!( btw, i gna refer to RP by his nickname: Chuckie!!! Cuuute huh??? It's supposed to b after some horse in a movie... not 2 sure which one... LOL!!! Sue calls him a chiken chopper!! haha) Okay, Chuckie was soooooooo SWEEET!!! didn't bite me... smt OJ would've done in a trice... and he did that head twisting thing like in d photo in my last post!!! he was sooo cute!! then when i did my stirrups, which were like 10 holes too long, i noticed how TALL he is!!! Didn't do his girth till later though. I didn't want to tempt fate... LOL!!! i think i got scared off by all d warnings jun and chun gave me abt doing Chuckie's girth haha. chun was there and fei came later during d lesson.

So sanjana didn't come and viv got oatie and jun; tikki. went up and sue was like okay today we're gna work on contact: of which i hopelessly failed at. It was kinda hard to flex chuckie even w/ d side reins on cuz his trot was SUPER BOUNCY!!! and we were doing d exercise in sitting trot. LOL!! i think i was bouncing up n down like a ping pong ball haha!! then sue made us take off our stirrups and we practised trot driving w/ d seat. didn't really get that either. Jun and viv did though... haha can one of u explain it again??

Then we did cantering. RP was REALLY GOOD!!! he is like soooooo super sensitive. it was sooo nice riding him. u juz have to nudge to get him into trot and his canter is sooo smooth!!! LOL!!! but half way during my 2nd canter my inside leg cramped. OUCH!! so chuckie and i did like 10/15 m circles wihich were kinda like ovals? haha that's like my 2nd cramp in my entire life!! my 1st being during gym... haha leg as well... really hurt so i took my leg outta d stirrup 4 a while.

We went down and since it was ramadan, we had to wash d horses. chuckie was sooo cooperative until i dried him and sue came and put some medicine on his hooves. apparently poor chuckie has MUD FEVER!!! :S :S :S nway sue started putting dettol on his feet and he got scared by d smell even though he has it on like evry other day, half reared and broked d raffia ropes on his halter so i had to hold him while sue put d stuff on. He kept moving away so in d end viv came and gave him a carrot. LOL!! finally put him back in his stall and had to give him his chaff. :D he looks sooo cuute when he's eating!!! haha

being sick juz b4 one's final exams is NOT good. i got a bad bad bad fever on mon and then stayed home yesterday and today. mum is of course freaking out and making me eat nothing but boring bland porridge (YEECH!!!) and cuz of d headache is making me stay off d TV and Computer :S. but she's out now... so i'm blogging. haha. d doctor gave me some black pills. it says "charcoal pills" on d back. nearly suceeded in tricking my younger bro into believeing that they were really made of charcoal... but mum HAD to spoil it... had a good laugh abt that though, we could have had a nice bbq party... haha!! done nth but study 4 geog which is 2moz and play dead. boooring... i think i'd rather b at school where there is at least SMT 2 do. nway i should b ok by sat so i can go riding!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

btw jun and viv: what did sue say abt our "requests"??

riding on sat was bad. jun and viv were good though... they rode penny and james... i rode lobo; need i say more?? good thing we didn't do any open order stuff ... i think lobo would have tried to attack james penny or biscuit... nway i gtg gotta go take me medicine. more black pills *sarcastically* yippee!!

oooh!!! rider's lodge is having it's annual comp!!! 3 and 4 dec!!! :D:D:D haha gonna do d walk-trot and 1.1... and maybe 1.2... but their walk trot is d A and B walk-trot!!! if i'm not wrong, it's like kinda diff from d walk-trot we use... die. how to get hold of a test sheet... :S

oh and some local band called "RONIN" came 2 our school. except it was 4 d sec 3s and 4s. humph. so we was stuck in class listening to mrs tay go on and on abt "pararral" and series circuits. then when d band started playing mrs tay had to raise her voice and i think she's gonna end up w/ a REAL bad sore throat... haha. okay i better go. i have a SOVA ( study of visual arts) paper 2moz. during art. and we dun even have an early day or smt!! i hate it. sooo much like lit!!! :S and too much memory work tooo!!! i'd rather paint and draw anyday, and i'm terrible at that. nway luv ya all :D

okay i got an eng exam 2moz so gotta make this a quick one.

OJ is tooo good 4 me!!! i'm such a lousy rider!!! bad bad bad lesson!!! nway, sanajana didn't come and viv got citi and jun got tikki who looked absolutely WONDERFUL!!! (quite a change from his usual self) sigh i felt like crap!! i even 4got my diagonals!!! and that's like d most basic thing to do in trot!!! gah!!! nway we did our own 10m circles all together in trot and that was like super classy and nice to watch. but mine were all oval-y and not 10m and HORRID!!! sigh. B4 that we did sepentines and circles and short change of reins via d short diagonals. and then we had d self ride which was real bad!!! like i haven't lost a stirrup in 4eva and then while trying to get oj to canter in a circle i lost my right one!!! abnd oj was also getting tired by then cuz he also had a 4 O'clock lesson b4 that. i was talking to chun on msn and she said it was juz an off-riding day and i guess i haven't had one 4 a while so i was due... okay i better go do some revision or smt. cya bb

Lesson rock man!!! haha it was such a FANTASTIC lesson!!!! i got Ocean Jupiter!!! :D:D:D he was like sooooo nice to ride and all!!! haha but getting him out was kinda freaky cuz he was doing everything horsily (??) possible to keep me away from him :S. he kept snapping at me and his ears were FLAT on his neck!!! haha i was kinda intimidated and all cuz he gave me that scar so in d end i got d syce 2 get him out 4 me. LOL!!! haven't done that in ages haha. it was really nice to b soo high again on a horse. OJ was really sweet and all d min i mounted him. weird huh??? we all met in d stable yard and waited 4 sanjana and james (late again!!! sigh. i wish she would come earlier!!!) viv was on citi garden and LUCKY JUN HAD LITTLE RED 4 d 5TH TIME IN A ROW!!!

OJ and i went lead :S and we did 10m semicircle off d centre line in trot which is really fun!!! haha and some interesting triangular shapes stuff and some other interesting ways of changing d rein and all. :D then we cantered and OJ's canter is soooo nice. plus i found i had this habit of stiffening my legs in canter so d stirrups all dangle. so in a way oj like taught me to loosen my legs :D!!!

Then like 15mins b4 we ended, sue was like "now we r gonna ride in open order" which is a fancy name 4 u get to do whateva u want :D:D:D!!! so in a way i had like a self ride. short but i was wayyyyyy fun. We had to pass each other left to left so we wouldn't crash but there were some right to right-s... i wnder if sue noticed... haha. we did like canter circles and oj was really good but he started to get tired after a bit cuz he had like a lesson 2 lessons b4 ours so i juz did circles in trot and practised medium walk in circles and 1 triangle thingy. His medium walk is sooo NICEEE!!! only better one i noe of is james's haha!!! after that we went down and sue said we'd do this EVERY WEEK!!! :D:D:D a short s/r after every lesson!!! i hope i get oj again!!! he's sooo nice!!! and he's officially one of my FAV horses :) along w/ bobby and little red :D:D:D haha

here's d LOOONG story on how i got BOBBY... i was supposed to ride james again but viv was in HK and she was riding penelope so i decided to ride penny instead. so i told james' groom not to tack james up and went to groom penny and tack her up ( she got a NICE SHINY NEW SADDLE :D ) haha then while i was grooming penny this angmoh girl came up and said that penny was a cow and moo-ed at her haha!! soo cute!! Jun and yijun came later and started to groom little red too. then after that yijun went to get ammeretto and i went to c bobby (whom sanjana was supposed to ride /: ) then we mounted and went to c mette. sanjana came and reminde mette that last week she had told mette that she wanted to ride little red cuz she wanted to canter (she hasn't been cantering 4 d last few lessons...) and mette had left a note on sandra's table. haha it's kinda long drawn but in d end sanjana got on penny and i went 2 get BOBBY!!! :D:D:D

GR8 lesson!!! haha we cantered circles and bobby went soo fast that mette was like okay nevermind u can't do circles at that speed. haha I LUV BOBBY :D his canter was soo smooth and super fast. LOL!!! Jun was really good on little red though. haha. then she and sanjana switched and so mette was like holding little red's bit and running alongside sanjana and little red trying to get him to canter. it was quite funny actually cuz mette was running like crazy and when little red started to canter he was like half dragging mette along and when she started keeping up he would slow down and go into trot and mette would b like half dragging him. LOL!!! after that we went down and i showered bobby :D and he was like d world's sweetest thing (i'm sure d carrots in my pocket helped... ) haha except when i tried to wipe his face...

oh yeah SUE'S COMIN BACK ON D 13TH!!! YAY!! THET MEANS NEXT LESSON SHE'LL TAKE US :D:D:D:D!!! haha hope we get 2 do walk to canter transitions. okay i gtg. bb ppl cya

soooo lame!!! but we all had fun!!! plus john was like sooooo hil!!! he hollered d WHOLE ENTIRE SONG at d stairwell!!! EVERY FREE TIME!!! Practically EVERYONE could hear him!!! and then 4 d concert (which we, THE PERFORMERS totally weren't told abt) he was like standing rite at d front and YELLING HIS LUNGS OUT!!! haha and had MARIE, MERRILL & MARCUS 4 facillitators!!! they r d BEST!!! haha!!! And d WARM FUZZIES!!! haha thxs to d ppl who gave me tooooo!!! LOL!!! haha bunkes w/ BELLA, BEV AND JULIA and "cuzzie 'manda" bunked w/ us 2nd nite haha sooo fun!!! we were like singing and singing... or at least me n bella... haha!!! HAD FUN BUKING W? U GUYS!!! d skit was cool too!! haha I LUV MY GROUP PPL!!! 1st of sep!!! haha must remem to change my archives... LOL!!! teachers' day 2day!!! haha. okay so yesterday me n caro went to d new library at bugis. BIGGIE WOW-IE. it is soooooooooo HUGEE!!! and d central lending library mite only be on b1 but it took us 4eva to find d sports section (behind d finance section...) haha. in d end we asked a librarian who told us... WE FOUND LIKE 2 SHELVES OF RIDING BOOKS!!!!! it may sound pitiful but considering this is s'pore that is sooooo rare. so we looked for nice books and sat there to read 'em 4 a while (there were NO SEATS!! sooo crowded!!!) and then we borrowed a book each. so after we finish reading the books, we'll trade and read d rest!!! haha. then i went 2 pick up this book my mum wanted: "health hazards of white sugar" i have a bad feeling that once she finishes reading it... NO MORE WHITE SUGAR!!! we'll be eating BROWN SUGAR!!! it's not d same!!! Brown sugar is HORRID!!! blah. oh well... then on d way to d teen fiction section we came across d "animal" section. where we found HORSE BOOKS!!! we each borrowed a book there too. i ended up borrowing d HUGEST BOOK in d entire section!!! i juz weighed it and it's 6kg!!! haha. LOL!! but it is sooo worth d trouble!!! it's got such nice pics and interesting facts and stuff in it!! haha. so then we went to d teen book section and borrow a few books there too. but they didn't have nice horse story books :( then after we went to this exhibition on d 9th floor abt family trees and all. quite interresting...

oh i think i mite have strained my back or smt during gym cuz when i jumped on d tramp everytime i landed my back kinda hurt... oh wells. hope it gets well soon. have to compete due to lack of red house ppl in gym... *sigh*

i juz had to post abt this. MY BRO COOKS!!! okay, fine i admit i nearly failed home ec. esp d practicals. haha. i remem d time i burned d er... i can't remem what it was but mrs tan was like sooooo hil abt it. ok, veering off d subject here. back to where i was. isn't it sooo cute??? even if what he cooks is going to be classified as "inedible" he says it has smt to do w/ apples but he won't say nthing else abt it!!! plus i'm expected to eat whateva he's cooking. (the last time he made ZUCCHINI OMMELETE!!!! w/ APPLES and ONIONS!!! thank god i was at camp. didn't have to eat it... haha okay he yelling. it's done. i gtg. hope i dun get indigestion... haha. i'm an eveily evil sister. LOL!!! ;)

haha. ok fine. i admit i'm LAZY. so a short post abt sat's lesson and other stuff...

Sat was a blah lesson. Wasn't one of my best. Jun was on little red (envy envy) viv on sonny (she was soooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!) Sanjana was on biscuit and i rode James. he was okay i guess. he doesn't have a nice canter. trot is okay. and he likes to cut d corners (my inside leg hurt after d lesson!) but he does have a nice "marching" walk.... and he's easy to get into walk and trot... sue was on leave so we got beccy instead. she was quite nice and she did interesting stuff like all of us turning at d same time but instead of going d other way, at d end u juz stay on d same rein so we switched lead files a few times.

GAHHH. sarah juz told me that i have to compete 4 d inter house gym comp!!! that is sooooo not fair!!! i have sooo barely practised!!! i have to teach d sec 1s with NO ONE to help me. James juz sits around during prac. Blah him. plus the comp is in like er... 4 lessons???? no!!! oh wait 3 lessons!!! there is d staff seminar thingy so we get early day on friday (YAY!!) and no gym prac on sat!!! ooooh!! bad bad bad!!! ... well at least i get CCA points... nway, i gtg. that's a long enough post soooo bb :)

Jumping vs Dressage...

Reasons why i prefer jumping to dressage:

1) i LUV all d jumping horses (Bobby, Little Red, Kampong Boy etc.)
2) The canter is my FAV gait
3) i feel absolutely comfortable in d 2 point position (weird huh? plus there is NONE of this in dressage)
4) i luv going REALLY fast yet not like racehorse fast...
5) d thing i look 4ward to in camps is JUMPING
6) d thing i look 4ward to at rider's lodge trips are d JUMPING LESSONS
7) i dun really like trotting ( of which there is ALOT in dressage)
8) when i search 4 riding stuff on d internet i always put "showjumping" 1st b4 i look 4 "dressage"
9) i prefer horses that need to b half-halted and slowed to horses that neet to b push and "strongly" urged to move faster (thxs chun 4 helping me think of this... )
10) I LUV RUSHING AND SPEED AND ALL D ADRENALINE!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

OH!!! MY!!! GOD!!! I like just found out who created my blogskin!!! It's REBECCA ( i think that's how u spell her name...) !!!! D girl who used to ride with me n viv at d tues class!!! D girl who did d dressage to music w/ fancy dress event (prelim) with judith ( d girl who leases irish) !! Doing d men in black theme!!! I'm still in shock!!! It's such a small world afterall...

Oh and riding was soooooooooooooo good!!! I was riding little red, viv was riding albert, jun was on oatie and tirtha joined our class riding biscuit. chun n fei came to watch d lesson. soo we all warmed up then sue was like "we'll do alot of work witout stirrups 2day" : ( soo we put our stirrups on d horses' shoulders and we started trotting. Thankfully Sue didn't make us do rising trot or jumping position. AND WE CANTERED WITHOUT STIRRUPS!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) Little Red is a DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!

Then Sue was like "okay now we r going to switch horses" : ( plus i got albert. : ( rite? irony is: I ACTUALLY LIKED ALBERT!!! ALOT!!! Me and viv switched whips cuz viv had a long one(sue lent her's to her) and i had a shorter one. Then jun got on biscuit. viv on oatie, and tirtha was on little red. Albert was A DREAM!!!!!!!! he was all fresh and when albert is fresh, he is about d equivalent of a normal horse (being d lazy, "dun wanna move an inch" horse that he is." ). that is, except in canter. BUT HE WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD NWAY!!!!!! HE IS SOOOOOOOO NICE TO RIDE WHEN U GET HIM GOING!!! JUST LIKE BOBBY (except a more hard core version...) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) PLUS I CANTERED HIM TWICE. AND HE WENT REALLY FAST!!!!!!!! (IF MY HAIR WASN"T TIED, IT WOULD PROB GO STREAMING BEHIND ME LIKE A FLAG OR SMT... LOL!!!) Once with and once without stirrups. Now i can see why ppl like morven robertson ( i think) can get 2nd place on him 4 walk-trot. And why all d instructors like him toooooooo. HOPE I GET HIM FRESH NEXT TIME I RIDE HIM!!! HE IS SOOOOO NICE!!!!!! BIG WOOLY MAMMOTH!!! AND HE IS SOOOOOOO SWEET WHEN U BATHE HIM!!! He goes all cute and all!!! awwwwwwwwww...

After riding mum picked me up with all my sibs and we went to Taka 4 dinner and then kinokuniya to get books cuz kino is having a sale. I STOCKED UP ON LOTSA HORSE BOOKS!!! Even got "Chicken Soup 4 D Horses Lover's Soul" (highly reccomended by Fei) soo now i'm "armed" in case i got another one of those "I NEED NEED NEED TO RIDE" moods. LOL!!! Oh, and i didn't even miss Black Beauty!!! i got my mum to tape it soo i can watch it later :) and over and over again too!!! :)
